Is there a better feeling than waking up in Jotunheimen, surrounded by magical pine forests, magnificent mountains and good friends on two and four legs?
Jotunheimen Husky Lodge consists of four self-catering apartments of a high standard with a living room, kitchen and bathroom. A total of 22 beds. During the summer months, we also rent out a pleasant log cabin in the yard.
Puppy cuddle or stroll
Every day this summer, we invite you to a puppy cuddle inside and outside the dog yard at Jotunheimen Husky Lodge. Perfect highland fun for anyone who loves puppies!
- 9 am – 11 am: Puppy cuddle and feeding for overnight guests
- 10 am – 2 pm: Puppy cuddle for guests on day visits
- 19 – 21: Puppy cuddle and feeding for overnight guests
200 NOK/person for visitors.

Summit hike with huskies | Rindhovda og Trollhøe
At Jotunheimen Husky Lodge we live life close to about fifty hiking enthusiasts – and Jotunheimen itself. Do you want to join a trip with two- and four-legged? Every Saturday and Sunday we take some of the huskies on a summit trip. Feel free to join us!
Carriage ride with huskies
Experience the summer variant of dog sledding with a sled in winter. We let you join us in harnessing up the huskies, then roll out on a few kilometers ride with your own carriage, all-terrain wheels and four-legged traction galore.

Your dream – our passion
While dog sledding or staying at Jotunheimen Husky Lodge, you’re in the best of hands. The hosts are a family of four, Vilja (7 years old), Baby Billie, mother Trine and father Øyvind. With experience from dog sledding in Alaska, Svalbard, Alta and Dovrefjell, we open the doors to our family life at our husky lodge in the magnificent and snowy Jotunheimen. When joining our dog sled trips, you’re guaranteed company from one or several of us.
Dog sledding
Experience Jotunheimen in a whole different way! From the dog kennel at Jotunheimen Husky Lodge we enjoy both short trips and expeditions lasting several days in the most iconic mountains north of the Alps; Jotunheimen. We ride sleds every day from November until mid-May!
Group adventures
At Jotunheimen Husky Lodge we live for teamwork. Getting 30 huskies to move in the same direction is demanding – and extremely fun. A bit like running a business, a workplace or getting a group of friends to dance to the same tune.
